Every three years, electric utility Xcel Energy prepares a resource plan to decide where we’ll get our electricity from for the next 15 years and beyond. Do you want to have a say in Xcel’s plans for our future?
Xcel must share and get this plan approved by the MN Public Utilities Commission (which, as the name implies, is supposed to represent the public’s interests).
By partnering up with the improv comedians Theater of Public Policy, we are charting a fun new format to shine a light on this process in a way that’s designed to get a broader audience interested and engaged.
While there’s nothing funny about 7 in 10 of our power plants nearing retirement age, this comedy night explains why there’s plenty to laugh about––and a lot at stake––in this purportedly public process.
