Xcel’s 15-year plan is coming before the Public Utilities Commission this year, and it includes a proposal to build a new billion dollar fossil gas plant and pipeline in central MN. Let’s be clear, building more fossil fuel infrastructure during a climate crisis is a risk too big to take. And luckily, we don’t have to take that risk. Several organizations have released alternative plans with more clean energy, more equity, and no gas plant. Join St. Paul 350, Fresh Energy, Sierra Club, and the Citizens Utility Board to hear about their cleaner and more affordable plans ahead of the public comment deadline on June 25th.
