Visit / Volunteer with Community Power at Twin Cities Pridefest

Community Power will have an info table at Twin Cities Pridefest to help build momentum for the People’s Climate & Equity Plan, which is essentially a local Minneapolis version of the Green New Deal. We will also have ways to involve non-Minneapolis residents as well as a series of post-Pride events that the broader coalition will be organizing, including one particular event to engage the LGBTQ+ community and allies.

Click on the RSVP button below if you'd like to help us with tabling, or swing by for a visit and we will reach back.

Twin Cities Pridefest will take place on June 25 & 26, 2022 from 10AM to 6PM both days and not in the evening.

It will take place outside in Loring Park, which is at the southwest edge of Downtown in Minneapolis.

The Specific location for Community Power is G35, which you can find by clicking on this webpage here

While Pride has become more of a celebration in recent years, it originated in 1969 as a protest against against police authorities repeatedly raiding a New York City gay bar called the Stonewall Inn. It thus has many surprising overlaps with the Climate Justice movement.

Community Power and partners are stepping up to make sure Climate has a presence at Pride!
