Public Hearing and press conference on Xcel's 15 year plan

Thanks to the high level of interest in Xcel Energy’s 15-year Plan, the MN Public Utilities Commission has decided to hold 5 public meetings to invite members of the community to share their input!

The first of these two meetings will be held on Monday, October 21, 2019 both at 2 p.m. and at 7 p.m at Sabathani Community Center  310 East 38th Street in Minneapolis.

Starting at 6 PM Coalition Partners including the Northstar Sierra Club will be hosting a press conference and rally.

Wednesday, October 23, 2019 at 7 p.m. St. Cloud Holiday Inn & Suites, Heritage Room 75 37th Avenue South St. Cloud, MN 56301

Monday, October 28, 2019 at 7 p.m. Dayton’s Bluff Recreation Center, Auditorium 800 Conway Street St. Paul, MN 55106

Wednesday, October 30, 2019 at 7 p.m. Mankato Civic Center, Reception Hall 1 Civic Center Plaza Mankato, MN 56001

We can agree the dollars you and I pay on our energy utility bills should be invested into energy technologies that match the public interest. That is why state regulators require Minnesota's largest utility, Xcel Energy, to submit an Integrated Resource Plan (IRP) to lay out how the company plans to meet our energy needs for the next 15 years. Xcel has released its draft plan at the beginning of July and has been open for public comment.
