Thu Oct 13, 2022, 10am – 5pm *** Ideally show up at 10:30 or 11 and stay for as long as you can. If you can swing by at a later time in this period, then that is great also! ***

MN Public Utilities Commission, 121 7th Pl E Room #350, St Paul, MN 55101

Showing up in person will be the most impactful. We have buttons for you to wear to show support the extent of support to the decision makers. Just look for someone wearing an Inclusive Financing button right outside the door of the hearing room and then you can wear one too. There is no need for you to speak or prepare a speech unlike other some other events at the MN PUC.

If the MN PUC votes yes, then cities in CenterPoint territory can sign up to be part of this pilot project to expand access energy efficiency improvements to renters and more.

*** If you’d like to join the hearing online, which is still worthy because staff will know you are tuning in, then go to https://bit.ly/10-13Hearing to see Instructions to join by Webex. ***

OUR GREAT OPPORTUNITY FOR BOTH CARBON REDUCTION AND ECONOMIC JUSTICE

After many years of community organizations and engaged individuals expressing a need for low and no- barrier energy efficiency programs and 3 years of formal proceedings, the MN Public Utilities Commission is having a deliberation on launching an Inclusive Financing pilot program for energy efficiency improvements in all of CenterPoint Service territory.

Join the City of Saint Louis Park and the City of Minneapolis in asking the MN PUC to allow this important program that will open up access for community members who have been underserved by preexisting energy efficiency programs. To learn how it works, watch a 1 Minute 30 Second ad on You Tube video of a sister program that is based in an area in Missouri & Kansas in the service territory of a utility called Evergy by typing in this link here: https://bit.ly/PAYSvideo

This is a tool that allows people to participate in energy efficiency improvements without income testing, loans, credit checks, immigration disclosure or having thousands of dollars upfront.

Inclusive Financing offers an immediate net savings directly on the energy bill immediately. It has also been adopted in other states such as NH, AR, NC.
