We're Hiring! Come Work with Us

Community Power is excited to announce we are looking for TWO co-directors based in Minnesota to help us work alongside partners to most strategically build energy democracy locally and beyond.

Important note: We are hiring both Co-Directors simultaneously - roles and responsibilities could be mixed and matched based on candidates. So, please review both second postings!

(applications accepted on a rolling basis until at least February 22nd)

Co-Director (#1 - external strategy and organizational leadership) focused on organizational leadership. This person will be responsible for coordinating the Board and staff around Community Power’s strategic plan, ensuring coordination of campaigns in alignment with the plan, and raising money to support Community Power’s ongoing success.

Co-Director (#2 - internal operations and resources) - focused on human resources and organizational operations. This person will be responsible for managing staff and handling internal operations (human resources and finances). Some operations work could be contracted out but be overseen by this role.

How to Apply:

Please send a cover letter addressed to John Farrell, board chair, and a résumé to [email protected]. The cover letter should be no longer than 400 words. The subject line of the email should say “Community Power Co-Director” and include "INTERNAL" or "EXTERNAL" depending on the role you are choosing to apply for. Applications will be accepted at least through February 22 and on a rolling basis after that date until the position is filled.

Applications will be reviewed roughly weekly or bi-weekly, and first-round interviews scheduled after that initial review. Second and/or third round interviews will follow.
