Xcel and Centerpoint promised to be "good partners" in helping Minneapolis meet its ambitious Clean Energy & Climate Action Plan goals, after much pressure from the growing resident interest in trading in contracts with the two utilities for a municipally-owned utility via the 2013 Minneapolis Energy Options campaign.
We invite anyone - particularly those served by Xcel or Centerpoint, regardless of geography - who are able to listen in and observe the Minneapolis Clean Energy Partnership to let them know the community is watching. Community members will likel have a chance to briefly introduce themselves.

Minneapolis' first-in-the-nation Clean Energy Partnership was formed in 2014 choosing the option from the Energy Pathways Study based on the premise that the City and Utilities can accomplish a lot more by collaborating with the utilities than by working separately.
