This community teach in on energy democracy is hosted by Community Power, the organization behind Minneapolis's first in the nation Clean Energy Partnership. We are building a movement to transform the traditional utility business model through local action.
Come join, explore and ask about why cleaner energy options create more jobs per dollar invested than coal or gas. Also learn how to respond to false arguments that accuse increasingly cost-competitive renewable energy of causing electricity rate increases. We will share a formula for getting to 100% renewables as well as opening up the discussion on ideas to meet that goal.
On the state level, we will provide a guide on submitting thoughtful commentary to the PUC on Xcel Energy’s 15-year business plan.
